Professional Photographers Studio
Converted former Coach House
Background
A photographic studio was created from a Grade 2 Listed Coach House to a family residence for a professional photographer.
Design
The building was sensitively restored and converted to provide a ´black box` for shooting products and objects. Blackout blinds and shutters were used, enabling daylight to be introduced as required. Original features were retained including the garage doors, shutters and beams, whilst essential damp proofing and insulation works were incorporated into the project. A small spiral stairs leading to a first floor platform was introduced to provide office space, with a fully ventilated Darkroom leading off.
Technical
Heating and other services were ducted underground from the house.
