Conversion to house and hoilday let
The owners of Hamswell Farm identified a demand for quality holiday accommodation. The barn is set within the AONB to the north west of Bath. The barns are now providing a valuable contribution to the income of the farm.
The building is of stone construction under a traditional tiled roof. The barns were converted to provide two small units. As much of the existing building was retained as possible, re-using the original timber roof boarding as a ceiling finish within the main barn living room.
The barns are heated by a shared boiler, and are fed by spring water which is pumped twice daily. Woodstoves have been provided within each barn.
