Garden Room extension
Private house in Bath
A garden room was added to the rear north facing kitchen of a Grade 2 Listed house on the outskirts of Bath.
From a number of small, dark rooms a new utility, cloak room and boiler room were created returning the ceiling height to the Victorian original and introducing new roof lights. Limestone was used for the flooring and underfloor heating installed.
The structure is of Douglas Fir under a well insulated lead roof. Locally sourced Bath stone was used where necessary. The joinery is all in Douglas Fir with oak cills.
